In the last twenty-five years the tourism industry has become one of the largest in Europe as well as in many other regions of the world. It is expected to continue growing for at least the next two decades, including in terms of its economic importance. Therefore, companies will need many more highly skilled human resources able to face the big challenges posed by the digital revolution and the sharing economy.

Objectives

The International Programme for Executives in Hotel Management allows participants to master strategic, organizational and managerial tools in order to promote their businesses and enhance the quality of their work.

The Programme entails a thorough study in order to cover all issues that entrepreneurs, mangers etc. share, with the aim of empowering students with a holistic view on how to run a facility, or to boost students’ career. It will give them the possibility to mingle and network with equally skilled people, and carry out together a project work.

The Programme will also allow students to spend time working on their skills, both personally and professionally.

The programme has been designed for professionals who operate within the tourism industry, thus executives with at least 5 to 10 years of seniority. Also, the programme addresses entrepreneurs and junior professionals with at least 5 years of working experience and who skillfully master the language.

The programme is composed of 8 thematic areas, totaling 162 hours divided into 20 days spanning 8 months:

  • Module 1 (12h): Key Technological, Social and Economic Perspectives of the Industry
  • Module 2 (30h): The Analysis of Economic Results and Financial Management
  • Module 3 (12h): Budget and Performance Management
  • Module 4 (12h): Consumer Behaviour
  • Module 5 (24h): Sales, Revenue Management and Web Communication
  • Module 6 (24h): Enhanced Operations Management
  • Module 7 (24h): Business Plan
  • Module 8 (24h): Leading Change and Leading People

It is also possible to participate in individual modules, meaning that participants have an opportunity to choose only the topics of interest to them.

A certificate of attendance will be issued at the end of the course (the minimum percentage attendance required is 80%).

Executive Experience

Executive Education adopts innovative teaching methods that offer a unique and immersive learning experience.

The programmes combine traditional lectures with digital technologies, pivotal for the learning experience.

Before, during and after the programme participants are provided with value added services aiming at boosting and customizing their learning experience.

 Executive Follow Up

After the end of the course, former participants will have the opportunity to discuss with faculty members the practical application of what has been taught or assess with their coach the outcomes of projects and actions undertaken.
